With Levi’s Stadium again serving as the national stage, fans across California are gearing up for a weekend of football, festivities, and a surge of local pride as the NFL’s championship returns to the Golden State.

How to watch the 2026 Super Bowl: TV channel, streaming

Super Bowl 60 will be broadcast nationwide on NBC and streamed on Peacock. Pregame coverage begins at 10 a.m. There will be a 30-minute postgame show.

Fans can also stream the game on NFL+, DIRECTV, Hulu + Live TV, SlingTV, YouTube TV and Fubo.

Super Bowl predictions 2026: Bears fans pick Seahawks vs. Patriots winner

Like most NFL fans, we believe the Seattle Seahawks will win the Super Bowl over the New England Patriots, although a higher percentage of us (92%) have the ‘Hawks winning than the national results (82%). In fact, every fanbase but one has a majority of their fans picking the Seahawks, with only the obvious, New England fans, skewing towards their Patriots, with 81% picking with their hearts.

It’s clear that most of us think the Ben JohnsonCalab Williams pairing has the Super Bowl window wide open (more on that later), and I know free agency and the NFL Draft are still to come, but where would you rank the Bears in the NFC heading into the 2026 season?

Filling the NFL’s last head coach opening, the Arizona Cardinals finalized a deal with Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur to become their next head coach, the team announced Sunday. LaFleur, the younger brother of Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, will reportedly get a five-year contract with Arizona.

Trump shares racist video depicting Obamas as apes on Truth Social, then removes it amid bipartisan outrage

President Donald Trump shared a racist video on his social media platform Thursday night that depicted former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama as apes in a jungle, then removed it hours later amid bipartisan outrage, including from close allies.

Just before noon, the White House blamed a staffer for the video posted to Trump’s Truth Social account and said the post had been removed. The statement came after serious backlash, including from GOP Sen. Tim Scott, the only Black Republican in the Senate, who called the post racist and said Trump should remove it.

Trump and Scott spoke about the video on Friday morning before it was deleted from the president’s feed, according to a person familiar with the conversation.

The White House had earlier defended the post and downplayed the response to the video, calling it “fake outrage.” But just before noon,“A White House staffer erroneously made the post. It has been taken down.” By that time, the video had been up for nearly 12 hours. A GOP Senate official said Republican lawmakers had called Trump to discuss the post with him.

Bitcoin sank below $70,000 on Thursday for the first time since November 2024, wiping out all of the gains it had made since Donald Trump was elected to his second term as US president.

The world’s biggest cryptocurrency dropped 7 per cent to just above $68,100 as digital tokens were swept up in a sell-off in tech stocks. Bitcoin has lost more than a fifth of its dollar value this year.

“Sentiment has deteriorated sharply,” said Jasper De Maere, a strategist at trading firm Wintermute. “The crypto market still feels tired as we see little appetite from anyone to step in convincingly at these levels.”

The price of ether, the second largest coin, fell 6 per cent to just under $2,000, taking its decline this year to 33 per cent

Mavericks trade Anthony Davis to Wizards, sources say

The Mavericks have agreed to trade 10-time All-Star big man Anthony Davis to the Wizards in an eight-player blockbuster designed to maximize Dallas' flexibility to build around star rookie Cooper Flagg, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

The Mavs will send Davis and guards Jaden Hardy, D'Angelo Russell and Dante Exum to the Wizards for Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, Marvin Bagley III, two first-round draft picks and three second-rounders, sources said.

The first-round picks the Wizards included in the deal are the Thunder's 2026 selection and the Warriors' top-20-protected pick in 2030, according to sources.

The Mavs had been aggressively exploring the market for Davis since the early November firing of former general manager Nico Harrison, a decision governor Patrick Dumont made in large part because of the fan backlash stemming from last year's trade of perennial MVP contender Luka Doncic to the Lakers.
