An exciting short program set the scene for an even more exciting women’s free skate as the final figure skating medals of the 2026 Olympics will be awarded this afternoon at the conclusion of the women’s singles event.
All three of Team USA’s Blade Angels will be back in action today and there’s a chance we may even see one (or more!) of them on the podium.
Alysa Liu had the strongest showing in the free skate, ending in third place (and in prime position to contend for a medal) behind 2022 bronze medalist Kaori Sakamoto and teenage phenom Ami Nakai, both of Japan.
After skating to her Sophia Loren medley, Isabeau Levito is in eighth, while Amber Glenn — skating to Madonna — landed in 13th after failing to perform a triple loop, losing all of the points she could have gained from that required element.
As the streaming home of the Olympics, you can watch today’s free skate live on Peacock, but you can also take advantage of a free trial to stream the event without paying a cent. Keep reading for everything you need to know about the women’s free skate.
